The Year of the Eternally Six: This is the boy who never ages and hasn't outgrown the vocabulary of a four-year-old. Has also been known to let his curiosity overcome good sense to the point of being involved with gangs. He can be adorable, but is accident prone. The Beldens should be careful or he might turn into Tim "The Toolman" Taylor when he grows up. If he ever grows up that is. Plot device material that was never fully developed.

The Year of the Indian Princess: An obnoxious drawl from a Northwest girl? The endless harping on the blackberry eyes. A young teen who looks like a model…argh! Too much squabbling with Schoolgirl Shamus. Implausible long-distance relationship with Black Jacket. And speaking of unbelievable, how does a girl with brothers named Capelton and Knutson end up with a name as simple as Hallie? Nope, this one doesn’t make the cut. |

Astringent Butler: Yes, he's dignified, solemn, and very correct. Yes, he runs a tight ship and is trusted by adults. He also rides a bicycle in a suit and derby hat. But, hello! he works in a house full of kids. He's uncomfortable to be around. How prim and proper can one actually be when surrounded by the Lynch twins and permanent magic markers? And if he doesn't like kids, he really shouldn't be working on Glen Road! Nope, the poor butler didn't make it, either. |
